It seems Narendra Modi
has once again shown his ability to get right attention and influence
people when it comes to communicating his ideas. First budget of Modi
government has a lot to offer in terms of new trains, bullet train,
facilities, amenities and security. Modi opponents don't have much
ammunition to derail his high speed after the railway budget. But,
scenario would have been totally different had his government not
announced steep fare on June 20.
Last month fare and freight hike invited lot of criticism, but that is history now. People seem to have come to terms with that pain, now they have something good to look forward too. So, this rail budget ushers in an era of Modi's 'good days ahead' promise. Modi gave 'bitter pill' first, and now everyone is talking about sweetness of the railway budget.
