After playing Dalit card, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has decided to prevent polarisation of Muslim "vote bank" that can help or deny victory to competing political parties in the upcoming general elections. For this, the BJP has decided to field Muslim candidates from some minority-dominated constituencies.

There are even some within the saffron brigade who fear that his strident Hindu bias might alienate the Muslim community, raising the chance that they could vote as a block against a Modi-led BJP.

The party has already identified 100 constituencies where Muslims constitute 30 percent of the total population.

Jayalalithaa Only Concerned About Freedom Of Rajiv Gandhi's Killers But What About These Other 16 Casualties

http://daily.bhaskar.com/article/NAT-TOP-who-cares-jayalalithaa-only-concerned-about-freedom-of-rajiv-gandhis-killers-but-4528410-PHO.html

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister seems to be in a great hurry to release the seven convicts in the suicide blast on May 21, 1991 that killed Rajiv Gandhi. Apparently for political gains, J Jayalalithaa wants to see the seven convicts out of prison as soon as possible. Media and human rights campaigners are talking about the mental torture and sufferings the convicts have gone through. But very few know the continuous trauma the families of the victims’ very dragged into. On that night, 16 Tamils were also killed. Since there is no one to drum up their cause, they have become worthless for everyone. The convicts responsible for 17 deaths have a very good prospect of getting released soon, and this has wounded the victim families.

The family members are planning to implead themselves when the case comes up in Supreme Court on March 6. “We are planning to implead ourselves to challenge the remission when the case comes up on March 6.

Manmohan Vs Jayalalithaa: Tamil Nadu Government Can't Release Rajiv Gandhi's Assassins Says PM

http://daily.bhaskar.com/article-ht/NAT-TOP-manmohan-vs-jayalalithaa-tamil-nadu-government-cant-release-rajiv-gandhis-assass-4527372-NOR.html
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has asked states not to get soft on terrorism. A statement issued by PMO claims that Tamil Nadu government has no jurisdiction to release Rajiv Gandhi's assassins. After Prime Minister's statement on this issue, the government had decided to directly take on  Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.

Centre has also filed a review petition in Supreme Court against the judgement commuting the death penalty of three convicts to life term and, also, against the Tamil Nadu government's decision to release all the seven convicts in the case.

Six men and a woman -- both Indians and Sri Lankans -- convicted in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case will be freed, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa Wednesday announced in a decision that prompted Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi to observe that his father did not get justice.

Vote On Account Is Prepared By Incumbent Government To Meet Its Expenses Till New Govt Takes Over

http://daily.bhaskar.com/article-hf/NAT-TOP-vote-on-account-is-prepared-by-incumbent-government-to-meet-its-expenses-till-ne-4524246-NOR.html

Finance Minister P Chidambaram tabled down Vote-on-Account in the Parliament today.

Unlike past years, Chidambaram presented Vote-on-Account this time rather than a Full Budget.

For all those unfamiliar with the term ‘Vote-on-Account’, here is a small article clearly differentiating the former from ‘Full Budget’.

As the incumbent government lacks adequate time in order to vote for a full budget before the new financial year begins, Vote-on-Account is a temporary fiscal measure which guarantees enough funds are at disposal of the incumbent government so that it can run the country, till the time fresh government takes seat after elections.

After Kejriwal Resigns, ‘Time Has Come To Accelerate Efforts, Channelize Anger And Energy To Bring Back AAP Government With A Complete Majority’

http://daily.bhaskar.com/article-ht/DEL-after-kejriwal-resigns-time-has-come-to-accelerate-efforts-channelize-anger-and--4522710-NOR.html
A day after Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the post of Delhi Chief Minister, an e-mail newsletter from AAP Tech team says both Congress and BJP clearly have an unholy nexus with the big industrial houses and that swift action against them had left them with no choice but to sabotage the Jan Lokpal bill.

Requesting people of Delhi to give a clear mandate to AAP in the upcoming assembly elections, the letter further says the AAP knew the fight against corruption would not be an easy one. “When we started this fight, we knew it wasn't going to be easy, We battled all odds, money, muscle and biased reporting, to win 28 seats in December. The time has come for us to accelerate our efforts, channelize our anger and energy to bring back AAP government with a complete majority so we can pass the Jan Lokpal and Swaraj bills.”

2014 Lok Sabha Elections: Survey predicts 227 seats for NDA, poor show by Congress

http://daily.bhaskar.com/article-ht/NAT-TOP-2014-lok-sabha-elections-survey-predicts-227-seats-for-nda-poor-show-by-congress-4521629-PHO.htmlc

The BJP-led NDA is projected to get 227 seats in the coming Lok Sabha polls, while the Congress will be reduced to 84, according to an opinion poll.
The survey, conducted by India TV, Times Now and CVoter, projects the worst-ever performance by the Congress-led UPA, a better show by regional parties such as the YSR Congress, the Trinamool Congress and the AIADMK, and the emergence of the Aam Aadmi Party.

According to the projection, the BJP alone will get 202 out of the total 543 seats. The Congress is projected to get only 84 — 117 less than its 2009 tally.

While the poll projects 217-237 seats to the NDA, it gives only 91-111 to the UPA.

The Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP is projected to get 7 seats in its maiden Lok Sabha battle.

Arvind Kejriwal’S Resignation Threat May Not Be A Smart Move, AAP Leaders Split Over Delhi CM Decision

http://daily.bhaskar.com/article-ht/DEL-arvind-kejriwals-resignation-threat-may-not-be-a-smart-move-aap-leaders-split-ov-4521593-NOR.html
Arvind Kejriwal is adamant to go ahead with his Jan Lokpal Bill despite the logjam in Delhi Assembly. Opposition parties have made up their mind that the bill will not be allowed to be presented in the Assembly, if due process of law is not followed. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has threatened to resign if the Jan Lokpal Bill is not passed. Now, some AAP leaders believe that this is not a smart move, when people expect the party to govern and deliver. There is a perception among the people that Arvind Kejriwal is looking for an opportunity to resign and this is not good for the AAP, believe party supporters.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Ashok Agarwal, a member of the AAP's national executive believes instead of threatening to quit, the focus should be on working hard to prove that the party is capable of governance. “The whole country is watching us and I am certain the resignation threat by the Delhi Chief Minister is going to alienate the educated middle class of the country,” Ashok Agarwal said on Thursday.
