The ramparts of Red Fort are ready to witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi's maiden address to the nation on the occasion of 68th Independence Day on August 15.
Heavy security arrangements have been made in and around the
historic Mughal-era monument. In view of the life threat to the prime
minister from several terrorist outfits, security agencies of the
country have sounded a red alert in the national capital and security
apparatus has been scaled up this time. The Prime Minister's Office
(PMO) itself is monitoring the preparations.
