The young talented actor, who made her debut in Bolllywood flick 'Kai Po Che' this year, was also a bright student. He not only qualified for a scholarship, but also secured seventh place in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) in 2003.
 
He enrolled for mechanical engineering course, but later dropped out of college to follow his dreams of joining the glamour industry.

In College though, his friends encouraged him to sing. He took part in many singing competitions in college and won them. He was boosted by these competitions and decided to record from his own pocket money and that's how his album 'Aadat' happened. Atif Aslam holds a degree in computer sciences from PICS, Pakistan.

Before Tom Scholz founded the rock band Boston, he received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT. While he was a student at MIT he made his own pedals for his electric guitar and experimented with sounds.
