Srinagar: In a move which may find no takers among liberals, Jammu and Kashmir state government has asked Srinagar’s coaching centres to adhere to draconian guidelines which had been deviced with intention to curb sexual harassment in and around these tuition centers.
Separation of male and female students each of who will be taught in different classrooms at different timings from now on, and banning of mobile phones in coaching centres are among some of these guidelines.
However, several of these guidelines also appear laudable enough aimed at students’ welfare, like providing of heaters. Besides, coaching centres have also been asked to inform parents if students bunk or miss their classes.Read more
