MODEL RAPE CASE: Mumbai DIG Sunil Paraskar Suspended

 According to sources, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday decided to suspend Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sunil Paraskar, accused of raping a 25-year-old model in Mumbai.
The decision came after Director General of Maharashtra police sent a damning report on the Paraskar episode to the home ministry.

The  proposal to suspend the deputy inspector general (DIG-protection of civil rights units) was sent to Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.

New Delhi: In an investigation, Cobrapost exposes officers of Delhi Police. While most of them candidly admitting to their failure as a force, some of them confessed that the top brass of the police force colluded with the government of the day to teach Sikhs “a lesson”.
