Sultan of Brunei Bolkiah has shown his interest in Sahara's Plaza Hotel and Dream Hotel in New York and Grosvenor House in London.

Just after news about public broadcaster Doordarshan allegedly editing out certain remarks by the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP’s) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi that Priyanka Gandhi is like her daughter, making rounds, allegedly edited reference by the Gujarat Chief Minister in the interview that the Congress leader Ahmed Patel is a ‘good friend’ has further heated up the issue. Times of India reported the news first on Thursday.

 

Modi said in the interview "Ahmedbhai is among the best friends I have in Congress but not now. I had a good friendship with him and would have preferred that it had remained so.but he now runs away from me and doesn't take my calls.”

Arvind Kejriwal Leads Narendra Modi In The Race For Time Magazine Person Of The Year 2014

 The world-renowned Time Magazine is conducting the polls to compile the list of 100 most influential people of 2014. The annual exercise is aimed at selecting a person, group, idea or objects that "for better or for worse...has done the most to influence the events of the year".

 

Like previous years, this year's survey is being conducted on TIME's official website. The voting is underway and the last date of submitting the votes is on April 22. The results of the poll will be announced on April 23 and the official list of 100 most influential people this year will be announced the next day.

Tehelka Case: 'Shoma Chaudhary Pressurised To Send Apology On Terms Dictated By The Alleged Victim', Alleges Tarun Tejpal In Supreme Cour

The sexual harassment case against Tehelka founder editor Tarun Tejpal has taken a new turn. In a bail application filed before Supreme Court last week, Tejpal alleged that he had mailed the apology to the victim under pressure from Shoma Choudhary and the apology was sent on the terms as dictated by the alleged victim.

Tejpal, who has already spent 130 days in jail, moved the Supreme Court for bail after his plea was dismissed by the Bombay High Court.

 

As per a report published in Mail Today, in a 500-page bail plea,  the Supreme Court that his apology to the victim, being used as key evidence against him, was sent "on the terms of the victim" under pressure from Shoma Chaudhury, the then managing editor of the magazine

India Successfully Test-Fires Nuclear Capable Prithvi-II Missile

Strategic Commanding Force today test fired nuclear-capable ballistic missile Prithvi-II from ITR at Chandipur off Odisha coast.

 

Earlier on January 7 and December 3, India successfully test-fired its nuclear-capable Prithvi-II surface-to-surface missile from a military base in Odisha. 

 

Prithvi is India's first indigenously-built ballistic missile. It is one of the five missiles being developed under the country's Integrated Guided Missile Development Programme.

Endorsing the existence of a "Modi wave" across the country, MDMK leader Vaiko today said theBjp's Prime Ministerial candidate becoming the next Prime Minister was a certain certainty even without taking into account the 40 seats of Tamil Nadu.

"There is an immense Modi wave across the country. He will certainly become Prime Minister even without taking Tamil Nadu and Puducherry's 40 seats into account," Vaiko, whose party is part of the BJP-led alliance, told reporters here after releasing the MDMK manifesto.

INS Sindhuratna Accident: 'We are sailing on a BOMB'; Shocking admission by Naval officer before dying, but NO ONE CARED

The tragic incident that resulted in death of two navy personnel and injuring seven others, after a deadly fire erupted on the submarine board, is seeing some shocking revelations making news now.

 

Just 96 hours before the incident, a navy submarine officer, Lt. Manoranjan Kumar, had issued a warning in this regard to the navy top brass, as per a TV news report from Headlines Today.

 

The deceased officer was in complete knowhow about the disturbing and lacking state of the submarine, and had publicly spoken about the dangerous condition existing on the submarine INS Sindhuratna, but to no avail.
