New Delhi: Congress has decided to avoid direct conflict between Narendra Modia and Rahul Gandhi. Congress says Sonia Gandhi intervened and told CWC meeting that there is no tradition to announce PM candidate before polls.
According to Congress spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi, it is not the party's tradition to name a prime ministerial candidate. "Sonia Gandhi herself opposed nominating Rahul as the PM candidate. Just because one party has announced its PM candidate, we need not announce one, she said," Dwivedi said after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting held on Thursday.Read more
