Indore: For people who think that a woman is not good enough to compete with a man in a wrestling match, they need to think again. A wrestling match held in Indore on Thursday saw excited supporters and fans as they witnessed a female contestant pin down her male rival in only three minutes.
Supporters and fans eagerly gathered at around 5:30 in the evening when a 15-year-old female wrestler, Roshni Khatri from Depalpur, stepped down into the arena and challenged the men there to fight her in the ring. Eager to show their might, many wrestlers present there accepted the challenge to contest her in the ring. 17-year-old Paras Solanki weighing 55 kilograms was asked to step into the arena by the organisers. The ‘free for all’ contest barely lasted for a few minutes as Roshni pinned down Solanki within three minutes of his stepping into the ring.Read more
