Kolkata: Violence in Bengal’s student politics continues unabated as a local leader of the Students' Federation of India (SFI), students wing of the CPI(M), was on Sunday allegedly beaten to death at Baruipur area in South 24 Parganas district.
The incident comes barely a week after a leader from TMCP, the students’ wing of ruling Trinamool Congress, was murdered allegedly by two SFI activists in Sandeshkhali in adjoining North 24 Parganas district.Read more
