Delhi HC gives a green signal to CAG to audit private telecom companies

New Delhi: The comptroller and auditor general (CAG) has been permitted by the Delhi High Court on Monday to go ahead with the audit of the accounts of private telecom companies. It was the Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal who began this assignment and authorized CAG to audit power distribution companies.

                                               

The AAP convener Kejriwal met CAG Shashi Kant Sharma as soon as he came into power and discussed the matter with him. The companies were initially given some time to inform if they are against the audit.Read more
